Each year hundreds of blood cancer patients from regional and rural areas relocate to Melbourne to undergo life-saving treatment. The Leukaemia Foundation’s $9.1 million Victorian Patient Accommodation Centre will truly be a ‘home away from home’, keeping families close when they’re needed most.

Leukaemia Foundation’s Victorian Patient Accommodation Centre officially opens its doors.

The Leukaemia Foundation’s Victorian Patient Accommodation Centre was officially opened by the Minister for Health, Hon Jill Hennessy on Wednesday, revealing 15 new apartments for regional families required to relocate to Melbourne for blood cancer treatment.

Victorian Government Announcement

The 2016/17 Victorian Budget will provide $500,000 to support the Leukaemia Foundation to finalise its patient accommodation centre in Flemington called Building of Hope.
